Digikam is great for organizing pictures, yet above 20,000 pictures it can begin to slow down. You can speed it back up with MySQL, and set some options to make it even faster.

It happened. Again. For some reason the WordPress 4.2 version included a lovely little script called ‘wp-emoji-release.min.js’ that loads at the end of the page.

I increased the speed of some of my sites, one of which from a crazy 8 seconds down to about 1 second. Here’s how I did it.
